Our warm week...

I KNOW all you fellow MNtans were loving the weather last week as much as we were. We sure had been missing...

Too bad it was only a tease and there is a fresh very-small-but-still-there layer of snow on the grass today. We're ready for warm weather to stay!!

This week in Newman News...

A busy week here at the Newman Residence. Last weekend Rach took the kids so that I could catch up on some work. They stayed at her house on Friday then at the farm on Saturday. The kids had a ball, of course!Eric and I got to go out with friends on Friday night and the two groups of friends met up at the end of the night...I felt like I was in college again. It was so weird, but fun.

Some weeks we rarely leave the house in this cold weather, but this week we were gone every day! Here is a recap:

Monday: Avery, Beckett and I went to Hudson to help Leah make Wyatt's birth announcements

Tuesday: Mom, Dad, Aunt Becky, Kasey, and her friend Kayla stayed over night on their way to Mexico... I sure wish I were laying on the beach with them right now!

Wednesday: I read "Yertle the Turtle" to Tate's class at preschool for Dr. Seuss month. I brought Becks and Aves with and Avery is definitely ready and willing to go to preschool next fall (except for that potty training part, but hopefully that will work itself out soon...insert prayer here, please.)

Thursday: We ran some PD&P errands and I tried to win the Mother of the Year award by seeing how many people could stare at me as I tried to coax my 3 year old from sitting in the middle of the floor in Bloomingdale's while I held my one year old who was in full convulsions and screaming. All were in need of a nap. I am sure some of the workers there filled out my MOTY nomination on the spot.

That rounded out our busy week. Maybe next week something really exciting will happen so that I have a good reason to post something fabulous!

Our visit with Kip

Last weekend we loaded up the whole Peterson crew and headed to Duluth to visit Kara. After making a stop at her house to say hi to her roomies, we headed to the hotel and basically went swimming (or as my nephew Jacks says "fwimming!") for the rest of the weekend.

Tate and Avery both love to swim "by themselves" with a life jacket on and get braver and quicker every time we go. Aves was particularly the little fish this time and stayed in at least a half an hour after everyone else got out both days.
Beckett did swim some, but was happy to sit poolside with either Grams and Gramps or Kara and Kasey eating chips when he got to cold to stay in the water. We are ALL ready for summer here and a little outdoor swimming...is it June yet?
